Freedom Sings
Sponsored by the First Amendment Center in Nashville, Freedom Sings is a touring program dedicated to bringing awareness of connection between the First Amendment and music. Performers including Jonell Mosser, Tom Paxton, Janis Ian, Jefferson Starship,Ashley Cleveland, Steve Earle, John Kay, Kim Richey, Bill Lloyd, Beth Nielsen Chapman and Greg Trooper have given of their time to perform songs that have been banned at various times for various reasons to bring attention to the often random or political nature of the decisions to do so.
